How does Candida cause bloating and gastrointestinal discomfort? This yeast begins to ferment foods in your intestines, especially carbs and sugars, which create gas. It’s like yeast in bread and the gas that causes that bread to rise. The problem is we’re not talking about a loaf of bread, but your intestines, and when they are filled with gas it causes a major issue for you.
All of that excess gas begins to stretch those muscles in your gut and lower back and this can cause lower back pain.
Can Candida Cause Abdominal Pain?
Yes. Candida causes abdominal pain by producing excess gas in our intestines which over time will cause distention. Distention is when there is so much gas in our intestines that it’s like a balloon. When this gas becomes trapped in our intestines, it can cause a lot of pain and pressure on internal organs.
Bloating and distention caused by Candida doesn’t only cause abdominal pain, but can spread to your pelvic area, back, legs, and even shoulders.

What Causes Candida?
In order for us to totally understand all of the effects of Candida, we need to know what causes Candida in the first place.
Candida is caused when the bacteria, yeast, and viruses in our gut, which is called the microbiome, become unbalanced and the natural yeast is allowed to overpopulate.
When yeast becomes overpopulated it causes a whole host of issues all over our entire body. The very first symptoms that I experienced with my Candida was:
- Bloating
- Sinus Headache
- Muscle Aches
- Digestive Issues such as constipation or diarrhea (or both)
This unbalance in our gut is caused by stress, overuse of antibiotics, or other medications. It’s actually the good bacteria in our gut that’s affected by antibiotics and stress, and when the good bacteria is depleted it allows the yeast to be overgrown.
How is Candida Cured?
In order for Candida to be cured, you’ll need to create a plan for success. You need to kill the yeast by taking antifungals and starve the yeast by changing your diet. This isn’t an easy task, and that’s why I created the Candida Warriors Program, which gives you a proper plan on how to kill Candida and return to normal life.
The Candida Warriors Program works because it’s the exact steps that I took to beat my Candida.

The obvious answer for getting rid of back pain that’s caused by Candida Overgrowth is to deal with your Candida. Curing Candida isn’t going to happen overnight, but it’s important to begin steps toward that goal.
I recommend you check out the program that I personally created called Candida Warriors.
There are a few methods that you can try to help give you some relief from your back pain caused by Candida.
Stretches
When gas becomes trapped in our intestines, it’s normally what causes the back discomfort. I normally do stretches to try to get the gas to move along and relieve the pain.
There are several stretches that work well for me. The first stretch is to go on your hands and knees so that your thighs and abdomen are 90 degrees. Then slowly push yourself into a sitting position. This helps push the trapped gas along in your intestines, and hopefully give you some relief.
LEARN THE STEPS I TOOK TO CURE MY CANDIDA
After several years of being really sick, I discovered that I had Candida. Candida makes you feel terrible, and can rob you from the joy of living your life. I set out to build a blueprint to cure my candida for good. You can learn the exact steps that I took with the Candida Warriors program.
The second stretch that I use to pass gas and give myself some relief from back pain caused by Candida Overgrowth is to lie on my back and bring my knees up toward my head. This stretches your back muscles as well but is also a great stretch for freeing trapped gas in the intestines. I found that it worked well for me.
Overall, stretching is a great way to relieve bloating and distention caused by Candida which leads to back pain. There are other stretches that you can implement as well. I found several really good stretches here.
Magnesium Supplement
Taking a magnesium supplement is another way to help deal with back pain caused by Candida. Magnesium helps relieve back pain in two ways. First, it helps relax tense muscles caused by Candida which may be the issue with your back pain in the first place. Secondly, it relaxes your intestines which may be why gas is being trapped.
There are several ways to take a magnesium supplement. You can take a daily capsule each day orally, or have a cup of magnesium tea. You can also add magnesium salts to a warm bath and soak. Your body will absorb the magnesium, and it will help relax sore, tired muscles. All of these methods work well, and I have tried all of them over time.
Drink Lots of Water
Drinking water isn’t just good for helping you to pass gas that may be trapped in the intestines, but it’s also great for pushing toxins out of your body that has built up in the intestines caused by Candida die-off.
Water is also good for muscles, lubricates joints, and transports nutrients across our bodies.
If you are experiencing joint pain, sore muscles, or a sore back, drinking water is a good place to begin.
Use Anti-Inflammatory Drugs
You can also use anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen or naproxen to reduce inflammation which will relieve muscle aches caused by Candida Overgrowth.
Exercise
Another way to help relieve sore muscles caused by Candida is to exercise.
It’s incredible the benefit that exercise has in the battle against Candida. A daily exercise routine helps loosen tight muscles, releases toxins, and helps prevent constipation.
Overall, everyone who’s dealing with a Candida overgrowth should have some type of exercise routine each day.
Conclusion
Any soreness, pain, burning muscles, or back pain caused by Candida are just outward signs that you have a bigger problem.
It’s imperative to begin treatment to clear up your Candida overgrowth, and when you do this, all of the side effects from Candida will clear up as well.
